"Sure," she told the kittypet. Mooneye moved around so that she was beside him. This will be good practice for me teaching Flamepaw, the silver-pelted warrior thought. Out loud she said, "Okay, to hunt, you need to crouch so neither your front or back is sticking up." she dropped into her best hunting crouch to show him. "You might need to wait for a long time to scent prey, but when you do, pinpoint the sound." The silver-eyed cat sniffed and started moving towards a mouse that she smelled nearby. "Now, it depends on what kind of prey you are hunting. If it's a mouse," she nodded towards what she was stalking, "you step extremely lightly, because they'll feel your pawsteps." (It is mouse right? Or is it rabbit?) She was close enought to reach out and bat the mouse. "Then, you pounce!" she pounced and grabbed the mouse, killing it with one bite to the neck. "It'll take a while to get the pounce straight, but it's not that hard."

Patch crouched down as Mooneye had said, trying to keep both sides even. As he started to crouch forward he noticed that his rump was sticking up quite a bit more then the rest of him. He lowerd himself down again and crouched up on an unsespecting leaf, prtending it was a mouse. He was light on his paws and with a little bit of effort, pounced rather clumsily at the leaf and caught it on his claws.

Mooneye laughed and cheered him on. "That was a great first try!" she exclaimed rushing forward when he was done. Next Mooneye showed him the easiest way to keep his body level. "Remember," the warrior said, "that you must keep your body straight. Er..." she tried to think of a way to say what she was thinking. "Pretend that a twoleg that you don't like is trying to touch you." she crouched down to show him. The silver tabby felt a raindrop. Shoot! she thought.

As Patch tried to pretend as Mooneye had said he felt the raindrops too. No. He wanted to prictice more with Mooneye. He was learning a lot and having fun. He looked back over at his two-leg house, not really wanting to go back there at the moment.

Mooneye glanced up at the sky filled with dark clouds. They were billowing across the vast space, as though looking for cats like them they could drench. The rain was splattering heavily on the ground, and soaking up into Mooneye's fur. The warrior sighed regretfully. They would have to take to cover. The tabby said to Patch over the howling wind, "We'll have to continue this later. But don't worry I'll come back." the silver-eyed cat said good-bye to her new friend, and started towards the forest.

Patch watched her leave with regrets of ever starting a friendship with her. What if she never did come back. He would be so alone without her. No one to talk to when he needed. He slowly made his was back to the place he called home, under the shelter of a roof.
His humans graciously picked him up and nussled him with their hands untill they realized how wet he was. They curled him up in a big dry tounge (he learned this was called a towel) and fell asleep, dreaming of Mooneye.

Moneye sighed, her voice heavy with regret, as she walked back into the forest. She made her way back to the camp and flopped down. She promised she would come back and she would, though how this would be possible was behind the warrior. The silver tabby watched the stars and whispered, "Where are you leading me to?"
