This is how the tournament will be run:

After a round of sign-ups, you will be randomly paired with some other cat. You will fight them in an RPG until one of the judges (The Admin) call a halt. (Please note-if an admin is duelling, they will not be part of the judging) You will need to sign up like so:

Name:
Clan:
Status:

If any of you are on Corsairs of the Black Flag, same rules apply BASICALLY. There are a few different ones, but basics are the same.

The score will be kept track of depending on RP style and rule following, and by the number of hits landed. Only the character being attacked may decide if they get hit or not, so please be honest. You can't say:

Darkstar leapt ten feet in the air, coming down on his opponent's head! He knocked his opponent down with a light tap and zapped him with purple lightning bolts.

Heheh, funny, but no. Magic is not allowed, you gotta work for your points! Also-NO KILLING. After you duel, the admins will discuss the duel via PM or other topic and give you the results as soon as possible. If you lose, you're not out of the fight! You simply go down to the next level, and the winner goes up a level. This will be kept track of by me, Darkstar.

Remember the basic rules of role-playing throughout the bout. If you need to be reminded of these rules, please read the Scoring thread.

Please try to be as descriptive and rule-abiding as possible. Powerplays or lack of description and/or reality will count against you. Most importantly, have fun!

A halt will be called to the fight once each character has posted 7 posts, regardless of where they are in the duel.

~IMPORTANT~
When You Win-You will advance to the next round, and be paired up with another lucky winner. The winner of that spar goes on to the next round, etc. etc.
When You Lose-Sorry, but you're out of the running! Please remember that the judging was based on a certain rubric, not about who the judges like better or anything like that. You can still follow the other fights, though you can't post in them.

I swear, Darkstar, I laughed real hard that tears came out of my eyes when you said that Darkstar leaped ten feet in the airand the zaaping stuff! Oh gosh! Another tear! Now everyone one's asking me what's wrong! (sry if i post here)
